      Hi everyone,

I have been using the GUI in Windows 10 without any problem. Port COM3 is used to connect with the Cheapstat. Now I decided to use an old PC running on Windos XP SP3 for data acquisition. I installed a couple of versions of java and the result is the same. I can open the GUI...then from the drop-down menu two options appear SCAN and COM1. I select COM1 and run the CV method but no data is registered... It seems like there is no communication with the port. Can you help me with this?

      Thank you and best regards

      J. Miguel

        I will reply myself...

I had to install the FT232R USB UART Driver. Then a USB Serial Converter was installed and the port COM3 was installed after updating the driver

Now, selecting the COM3 port, it works perfectly.

Hope it can be useful for other Cheapstat users

        Best regards
